Random Updates for March – April

I am so behind in my blogging. Life has been crazy busy and I can’t believe the year is already half over as I type this.

So let’s do a few random updates from the months of March and April.

Glorianna is still working at Chic-Fil-A. She has been promoted to Supervisor. She loves her job and the people she works with, but she’s always on the lookout for something better. She doesn’t really want to stay in the fast food industry forever. She’s been helping whenever they do their special events, as well, so she gets plenty of extra hours.

This was a daddy/daughter date night. Even tho she worked it, she got to take a little time off to have a date with daddy too.

Zion was asked to play cello for the event too. He hasn’t played cello in a while so he enjoyed being able to do that again.

Glorianna made Bro Carlos (who is one of the P.R. people at Chic-Fil-A….it’s nice to work with Believers)…a cake for his birthday. He was very surprised and very happy. It made his day.

We finally had our large tree taken down in the front yard. Back in 2020 we had the city come and top it off because it’s been dying for a while and we were losing very large branches. But since then we’ve lost a lot of large pieces of bark and it just became an eyesore. So it had to go.

We used all of the mulch from the tree for our flower beds, and soon to be, garden spot.

Now there’s just a dead spot. Hopefully next year we will have some grass there.

We finally got a patio set for the back porch. Some friends of ours were moving out of state so we bought this from them. I’ve never had one before but have always wanted one. I love this one. It’s a little big for our porch but it works. And we’ve already had several meals together out here.

We went to a get together at a friends house so we could also visit with some out of town friends one weekend. It’s always good to see friends from near and far.

At the end of April, Zion was using his grill and it shot a puff of fire up into the air when he opened the lid. Thank the Lord he wasn’t seriously hurt. He clothes never caught fire and he didn’t loose his hair. His face, eyebrows and ends of his hair were just a bit scorched. It looked mostly like a bad sunburn.

We are all so very thankful that the Lord was watching over him. It could have been so much worse.
