Pig Chasing and Fall Fun

While Trevor and the boys went on their yearly Father/Kid camping and canoeing trip, Glorianna and I headed to Kentucky to spend some time with family and friends.

There was a Pumpkin Festival going on, while we were there, so we spend most of Saturday, hanging out at a local farm.

We went on a hay ride, walked thru the corn maze, ate some good food, and talked with some of the family.

Glorianna straps in her Doggie, so he will be safe.

All tired out.

My cousin, Grace, has a doggie.  Glorianna was afraid of the dog at first, but by the time we left, she had made friends with Maddie.

“This is the mommy pumpkin.”  (She had already picked out a small baby pumpkin, and wanted a mommy one to go with it).

Glorianna had a blast riding around the farm in the “pig” car.

She loved being able to hold the baby chicky.  She wanted to bring him home with us.  When I told her that the farm was the chicky’s home and he had to stay there, she just decided to name him instead.

The “greased pig” contest was divided up by kids sizes and not ages.  My cousins, Grace and Caleb, were both in the same group.  They each participated in the contest twice.  The first time, Caleb won and the second time Grace won.   They both got to go home with trophies.

Glorianna wanted to try and catch the pig, so I signed her up and let her have a go at it.  She did very well.  Glorianna was very close to the pig, several times, and had she not been afraid to actually touch the pig, she would have won.  She had a blast tho, and has decided she wants to try again next year.
