July Updates

This post is going to be a mash up of the month of July. It’s been so crazy busy this summer.

Right after BYC, we celebrated the 4th of July. Zion and Camille wanted to host, which we were totally fine with, so I made a couple of sides and Zion cooked the meats. Then we shot off some fireworks that night.

We celebrated Trevor’s 47th birthday with the family at home, on the 12th. It was a Sunday and he was in town, so that worked out nice. We spent the afternoon playing games and just enjoying being together.

I got hired to start a part time job teaching Bible at a local private Christian school. One of the sisters at our church, started a school a few years ago. I had been praying about what to do, now that my kids are all grown and I’m no longer homeschooling. I still do Sunday School at church, and travel with Trevor some, but I just felt like I needed to do something more. So after some prayer, the Lord worked on both ends of the line and opened the door for me to be able to start teaching at the school. Outside of teaching Bible to 2nd-5th graders, I’m assisting the other teachers as needed. Looking forward to seeing how the Lords works this all out.

Glorianna also quit chick-fil-a and is joining me at the school. She’s teaching Art, Choir and assisting the other teachers as well. This is going to be so fun working together with her, as well as other believers. I can’t believe I’m actually going back to work after 25 years, but the Lord is in it and has paved the way for us both.

I had chat create this picture of us, since I forgot to get a picture of our first day of school (which was August 3rd)

And that wraps up the month of July.
