Zoo Trip

Yesterday a bunch of mom’s got together and we all went to the zoo. Our Zoo has a new “splash park” which is awesome on a hot day. Yesterday was very hot. I took the boys in their swim clothes so i wouldn’t have to change them. Then took an extra set for changeing before getting into the van. It worked quite nicely.

Most of the animals were sleeping in the shade or gone because of construction being done, but we still got to see a few and the kids had a ball. This was Glorianna’s first trip to the zoo so she was very excited.

Glorianna’s favorite animal at the zoo…thanks to “Barney Goes to the Zoo.” She even sang the elephant song the rest of the day.

All the giraffe’s were inside for feeding time, so we really got to see them close up. It was rather cool. Glorianna didn’t like being so close, and the boys were afraid they were going to get spit on…

…by this guy, so we didnt’ stick around for long.

I could not get this bird to turn around for nothing…so i just got a picture of his pretty tail.

There was a toddler area that had very small water spouts coming up out of the ground. Glorianna took a few minutes to actually get wet, but once she did, she had fun.
