Yet another trip to South Carolina

A couple of weeks ago, we were invited to South Carolina, once again. Bro. Luke G. was having his special “Fall” meetings, and asked Trevor to take a couple of services. So off we headed.

On the way, we stopped at Cumberland Gap for a break, and to let the kids earn another “Junior Ranger Badge”. Cumberland Gap is a beautiful area and just full of history.

Azariah found another Chester Comix book we didn’t have, so of course we just had to get it. This one is an activity book, which of course, Azariah just loved.

Zion filling out questions about how the pioneer kids dressed. There was a dress up corner as well and the kids found this fun. Especially Glorianna. She had a lot of fun being a pioneer girl. I don’t have any pictures of that, but Trevor has it on video. Hopefully he’ll upload the video to the blog for you all to enjoy.

Out side of the visitors center, there was a couple of deer wondering around.

Hiking along the trail to the top of the peak that shows three states at once.

Posing by one of the markers…Daniel Boone brought his family along this trail.

Azariah looks for danger…

We saw more deer along the trail. At this point we had to walk very slowly and quietly. We were able to get really close to the deer before they ran off.

Another trail marker. This one had some information on the side about the history of the area. The kids all had to climb to the top.

It was quite a steep incline to the top…so at this point, I was being really silly…

Standing in three states at once! Kentucky, Tennessee, and Virgina

A beautiful view from the top.

Friday evening, in South Carolina, was a bonfire/potluck/fellowship. That was a lot of fun. I didn’t get any pictures of the event, because it was dark and they didn’t come out very well.

Saturday morning, we had a wonderful breakfast of Biscuits, Gravy, and Sausage.

Saturday was spent just hanging around the house. It was really our only time to do so. The rest of the weekend was going to be very busy. Saturday night Trevor preached on “Declaration of Righteousness”.

I forgot to take the ipad to the services, so we have no more pictures of the weekend. OOPS!

Sunday morning, Trevor preached on “Satisfied with the Substitute”. After service Bro. Luke took us out to eat. Then we headed back to our place of abode for a couple hours of rest before heading to service again. Trevor preached again that night, and brought the message, “Ridiculous”. All three services were very good. I needed them. It was wonderful to fellowship with the Believers there.

After Service, Bro. Luke took us out once again. It was kind of late getting back to our place of abode, so we all went straight to bed.

Monday morning, we had a wonderful breakfast, said our good byes, and headed back home.
