What have we been up to??

After we got back from sunny Florida, we had some serious temperature drop. We had a few days of snow and even more days of just cold. The kids enjoyed the snow and I enjoyed the heater in the house. haha

Glorianna made a really nice fort. The bearded fellow behind her is Trevor. He kept his beard for a few more weeks before finally shaving it off.

Valentines Day Trevor surprised us with flowers and candy. I totally was not expecting this because Trevor was also leaving Valentines day to head to England and Finland. So this was a nice surprise.

And because the flowers made me think of Spring, I hauled out my Spring decor much earlier than usual. But it was time for some color anyway.

One of the reasons that Trevor went to Finland was to perform the wedding of our good friend, Kristian.

The boys have really been enjoying hanging out with our church youth group. They recently did an escape room for one of their friends birthdays. Because there was more kids than allowed in one room, they needed 3 rooms and a few more adults. So Trevor went along too.

Glorianna is still doing art classes and she’s doing very well.

And on a more sober note…

My cousin Treasa has been battling cancer for the past 2 years. The Doctor had given her up so many times but she always managed to bounce back. The chemo did nothing. It was as if she was immune to it. She never even lost her hair. But through it all she never lost her Faith or her testimony. She was always happy and always claiming her healing and praising the Lord.

I went up to see her at the end of January. She had lost a bunch of weight but by the way she acted you’d have never known anything was wrong.

Cousins…Me, Treasa and Lavonne

Me, Treasa and my mom

I was glad I got to see her then because three weeks later she took a really bad turn and started going down hill fast. On Feb. 28, she won her battle. She’s now in a new, cancer free body. Just before she went she kept saying she could hear Jesus and she kept wanted to see Him. Her last moments, she lifted her hands up to the ceiling and went Home.

The funeral was last week and we made the 3 hour trip there. It was cold but she had a nice memorial service. She had such a positive testimony that anyone who knew her couldn’t help but be blessed. Please keep her family in prayer. She left behind a husband, three sons and a granddaughter.
