Saturday was just awesome! We went to Sabino, to do some hiking. A Brother from the local church, went with us, and pointed out all the places where Brother Branham had been. For those of you who dont like scenery pictures, you might want to skip this blogpost. =)
This rock was pointed out by the tram driver. I thought it was pretty cool looking. She said its the 3 peaks, or sometimes known as Snoopy. It really does look like Snoopy laying on his back. Or so I think so anyway.
Eagle Rock. Trevor tried several times to point out the Eagle, but I still can’t see it. I know which rock is Eagle Rock, but I just can’t see how it looks like an eagle. I dont know why. I’m hoping it comes to me later. But anyway…here it is , just the same.
This is the spot where the word “Eagle” was written in the side of a huge rock. Sadly, the word is no longer there. It’s said that tourist have chipped peaces of it away, over the years, for souvenirs. Bro. Johnny had visited this spot many times and actually saw the word and took a a picture of it. So he held it up to the spot for us to see.
This rock is just awesome!! This is right above where “Eagle” is written and right below “Eagle Rock”.
Just some shots of God’s beautiful creation.
This picture was taken from the top of “Sword Rock”. This is the spot where Bro. Branham was standing when the sword came down into his hand.
Cooling our feet in the stream at the end of the hike. That water was COLD!
I hope this next picture don’t bother you too much . But its part of what happened on our trip. It seemed the Devil was trying every way he could to break down our Spirits and Faith. He started off by letting us miss the first flight out. Then a few other things happened while we were here. Nathan and Rebekah B. went with us on this trip and the Devil was after them too. Little Phillip fell into a swimming pool and had to be fished out. He is perfectly fine, thank the Lord and suffered no side effects. All 3 of my kids broke out in a rash from the local cotton wood trees. Trevor cracked his knee on a huge rock while hiking, and limped around for a couple of days. But the worse that happened was to Glorianna. While we were hiking in Sabino, she fell and smacked her head on a sharp rock. I picked her up and started to pray for her. She had a nasty gash. I could see the bone. But the Lord answered prayer and the bleeding stopped almost instantly. Being on the top of a mountain, we had to just make due with what we had. One of the mom’s with us , on the hike, had some baby wipes and bandaids. So this was our first aid, until we reached bottom. We debated on whether or not to take her to the local Immediate Care or just to treat her on our own. I was mostly worried about scarring. After reaching the car, we finally decieded to just take her in and get a doctors opinion. He said that stitches would scare less then just using liquid bandage. So stitiches is what we chose. She now has 5 stitches in her forhead.
But all is well. She is doing excellent. And the Devil lost. Even tho this accident happened on the same day Trevor was going to preach, he failed to prevent that from happening. We had wonderful services and the Lord visited us on more then one occasion.
