A few weeks ago, (yes, I realize this post is delayed…but we’re on summer break, so I forgot.)… Tunnel Mill in Charlestown, was doing some historical re-enactment. We piled up the kids, along with a couple of other friends and family, and headed out to see what it was all about. They were supposed to be doing a re-enactment of a battle scene, starting at 3:00. We got there at 3:04. It was mostly over. =( Last year everything started late, so we didn’t really expect them to start on time this year. Sigh…oh well. We caught the last couple of minutes, which was mostly just one side shooting…the other side was already “dead”.
Then we just walked around looking at the displays and talking to the local “actors”. It was hot, but we had a good time.
Bro Kristen from Finland had come in for Still Waters camp, and was staying with us, so he went along with us. He got to see some “American History” while he was here.
Inside view of a cabin…partially underground. The cabin was built this way on purpose to help keep it cool during the hot summer.

This guy let the kids pet one of the horses. He also told them all about the horse. What kind he was, how long he had been “acting” and stuff like that.
What a fun filled adventure.
