This and That

This is a misc post of randomness.

My husband knows me well. He bought these socks for me while he was in Norway. They are so comfy!

If you remember…or don’t remember…the boys wanted money for Christmas and Birthdays this past year because they wanted to get the new Nintendo Switch that was coming out in March. The long awaited day finally arrived. The only problem was…do I really want to fight the crowd?? The first attempt was when it came out at midnight at Meijer on release day. The store was pretty much empty. Except for a few late night shoppers. We figured we’d have a good chance of being one of the first 10 to get in line. But nope. They sold out right before we got there. So we drove over to two other places that also had it but they were also sold out. The kids were bummed. But there was nothing I could do. Someone standing in line told me to check Toys R Us the next morning. They had 10 in stock but were not planning on opening their store early. They were just going to open at their normal time. So we went home, slept and after breakfast the next morning we headed to Toys R Us. We got there at 9. Store opens at 10. There was only 1 other person there. We got this! By 9:45 there was a small line formed. There was 10 Switches available. We were 2nd in line.

The kids were so happy to finally get their Christmas Present. I’m so happy it’s over.

In other news…

Creations Projects…

Zion’s Cabin.

Azariah’s Cabin.

The boys’ wooden books.

Glorianna’s Skirt. This is the first one she has made. I think she did a great job.

And her tote bag she made.

And in still other news…Zion got his braces off!

He’s very happy about it. Two kids out of braces! Woo!! Zion did end up getting 2 root canals done on two of his front teeth. The ones that got knocked out from the soccer injury. But he’s doing well and really wasn’t bothered at all by the root canal. He didn’t even have any pain. We only knew he needed it done because of an x-ray that the dentist took. So now he’ll have to be monitored off and on over the next year or so just to make sure the other two teeth are ok. But so far it’s all looking good.

And finally….right before Trevor left for his Europe trip, we bought a new bed. Our bed was 17 years old and it was well past time to get a new one. But instead of just getting another queen, Trevor decided he wanted to upgrade to a king. What a great decision! I love it. There’s a little less room in our bedroom now, but I’ve made it work.

Up next is our trip to Nashville…..stay tuned.
