The last few months have been busy. The school year is coming to an end, which means …..vacation!!! Yeah!! Hopefully my blogging will pick back up again after that. I’m slacking a bit. Sorry folks.
So…what have we been doing that has kept us so busy??
Well, the boys, as you know, were in Soccer this Spring. So that took up a good portion of our time. That is over for the season, and will start up again come Fall. Glorianna will be joining them for the next season. They are all very excited, but at the same time are glad they get the summer off, so they don’t have to play in the hot sun.
Trevor was such a sweetheart, and decided it was finally time to remodel the bathroom. Needless to say, with only one bathroom, this was going to have to be done as quickly as possible. So over Memorial Day weekend, being he had an extra day off of work, he set out to destroy our nasty ugly tub/shower, and create a wonderfully new and beautiful one. My dad came over to help out with the plumbing, but my wonderfully, sweet, computer techie husband, did most of the work himself. I’m so proud!
Ok folks….here is a before picture. Yes, we lived with the hideously ugly yellow tub/shower for 5 years. Not only was it ugly…(I have no idea what the builders were thinking when they built this in the first place, but then again….it was the 70’s.)…but it was also very stained up (yes i know it looks dirty, but i cleaned it…i promise)…the faucet leaked and one handle was broken off, which meant we had to turn it on with a pair of pliers. That’s always fun.
SO….Before….
And After!!!
We still have to redo the rest of the bathroom, but as I said before…we only have one bathroom, so the rest will have to wait a bit longer. It will all get completed, one slow step at a time.
Other things we’ve been doing….
Swimming…
Swimming some more…
OK…back up….Yes you read that right. Trevor had the honor of performing his very first wedding ceremony. This lovely couple you see below asked Trevor to marry them. The fact that he can actually do that, seemed a bit strange at first, but now I find it awesome!
It was quite an honor and he did very well. The wedding was beautiful. Congrats Jeremiah and Christine!!
I’ve also been trying to find cute and creative ways to fix Glorianna’s hair. Her hair is finally growing, even tho its still very thin and baby fine, but I’m thankful its growing. She doesn’t much care for her hair to be fixed. Most of the time, she’d rather just wear it “fly away”. I started playing with her hair one day while she was eating, and came up with this nifty do. I thought it turned out really cute. I can add a bow for a dressier look, too. She doesn’t seem to mind this style, so I think I’ve found a winner.
