The School Room

I am finally getting excited about school. The last couple of weeks I have spend numerous hours rearranging, reorganizing, getting rid of unwanted stuff, cleaning…etc, the school room. I really wanted to get the walls painted before I started the whole process, but that didn’t happen. Oh well…at least I got the rest done. So school will be officially starting next week. Maybe on Monday, but more then likely it will be Tuesday or Wednesday. Monday will probably be spent just getting the kids back into a routine. I am trying something a bit different this year. I will be having all 3 kids in the same room. Last school year, Glorianna was in a room by herself because she was doing Abeka DVD’s and it was just easier for her to interact if she was by herself. Well I caught her skipping part of the video and hiding some of her papers, so she could get done faster. It was hard to manage everything for all 3 kids with I had to keep going back and forth. So this year, they are all going to be in the same room. I just have to get Glorianna some headphones. If she needs to interact and it bothers the boys, they may need to go upstairs to their rooms for a bit. But we’ll play around with it for a few days and see how it goes. I’m finally ready to start. I wasn’t sure if I would be, but after getting things back to an orderly fashion, it has become exciting.
