This weekend is the Cincinnati Homeschool Convention. Trevor and I are going for Friday and Saturday. I can hardly wait. There is so much to see and so many great speakers. I went last year with some of the girls from church, on a Friday, and Trevor met me up there Saturday afternoon. He enjoyed it as well, so this year we chose to go up together for both days. The kids will be staying with my parents, so even though this is “homeschool based”, its still a weekend away without the kids. HA!!Â
We have really loved Zion’s curriculum (Moving Beyone the Page) this school year, but sadly, they are not going to be at the convention this year. This being the case, we decided to go ahead and order Zion’s stuff for next year. So we have 1 kid down and 2 to go. I am undecided what I’d like to do for the other 2. I have a few ideas I want to look at while at the convention, so we’ll see how things go. Trevor really wants to stick with Abeka for Azariah (for another year anyway) and start Glorianna on Abeka as well. When it comes to a Phonics program, Abeka has it down. I don’t think you can get a better one. But that’s about all I “really” like about them. Everything else I’d gladly do without. So with this in mind, I’m on the search for a good curriculum for Glorianna and Azariah. If nothing jumps out at me and just screams “Buy me!! Your kids will love me, you will love me AND your husband will love me!!” , then we will probably stick with Abeka for another year.Â

In other news….
Curves is awesome!! I love it!! I am really getting a good workout and I’m finally getting used to getting up at 5:30 am. I weighed this morning, after I got back home, and I was down a pound! Yeah for me!! I’m feeling great! I can already feel the effects of Curves. The best part of the whole thing is the closeness of it. It’s only 5 mins from my house. So I can go work out from 6-7, come back home, shower, and still have time for my morning devotions, before the kids start getting up. What a great way to start my day!Â
So thank you Joanna for telling me about it!! I’m very greatful.
