Thanksgiving

We had three Thanksgivings this year. Our first one was a “Friendsgiving” in North Carolina. Trevor was invited to preach and do a youth Bible Study at Bro Barry’s in mid November. They were doing their yearly “Friendsgiving” that same weekend, so it was a lot of fun being a part of that. We got some great ideas for some new youth event games and I can’t wait to try those with our youth.

Cool bookstore/coffee shop that Trevor and I stopped at on Saturday Morning.

Sunday Morning, pre-service breakfast. Glorianna stayed home because she had been sick. So that is why we are missing her in this picture.

On Thanksgiving day, it was just Trevor, myself and Glorianna. Zion and Camille spent the day with her family and Azariah went along because he’s friends with Camille’s cousins.

Trevor, Glorianna and I just spent the day playing games, hanging out and having some light food. Trevor smoked a turkey breast and we mostly just enjoyed a charcuterie board off and on all day.

Glorianna toasted us at “Splender”. Why is she so good at this game??

The Saturday after Thanksgiving was our family Thanksgiving.

While I was doing some cooking that morning, Trevor, Glorianna and Azariah did a writing session. If you’d like to see the short stories they wrote, check out the previous post titled “Thanksgiving Writing”. Feel free to leave a comment and vote for your favorite. We didn’t say who wrote which one.

My parents and my brother, Amos, came over for lunch. They stayed for a couple hours and then left. The rest of the day was spent playing games, having hilarious conversations and just enjoying the blessings of the Lord. It was one of the best Thanksgivings we’ve ever had. (Yes I’m already decorated for Christmas….deal with it…haha)

One of the games was saying something we were proud of or had accomplished this year.

We also read a paragraph, line or page out of a book/books we had read that we loved or had stood out to us. This was a lot of fun and I’m sure we will be doing this again.

Jackbox….this is always fun to play. We cracked up when Glorianna and Azariah had the exact same answer to this prompt. IYKYK

I’m so very Thankful for everything that God has blessed us with this year. There have been some hard times, and some very busy times, but there so many blessings that I can’t even begin to name them all.

Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours! God bless you all.
