Well we are finally finished with school for the year. WOO!! I am so ready for a break. It’s been very much needed. This year was a tough one. High school is hard! But we have made it. I now have a 12th grader, a 10th grader and a 7th grader. Ugh. How did I get to this point? Am I really that old?
Zion has been doing some AP tests in hopes to not have to do Calculus and Physics in college. But we won’t get the results back from those tests until July, so we’ll just have to wait and see what happens. He will spend a lot of his senior year doing college type tests and a few college level classes so that he will have a good start on college. he’s hoping to do some IT stuff and follow mostly that field. He’s a lot like Trevor and has the same interest in the IT department, so I’m sure he will do well. He’s been working really hard and really pushing himself to get through this. He finished the year with only 2 B’s and the rest was all A’s.
Azariah doesn’t really know what he wants to do after high school. Right now he just wants to be done with school. He sounds a lot like his mother. Poor kid. He’s doing well tho. He finished this year with A’s and B’s, which makes me very happy. He’s already smarter that I was when I graduated. Keep up the great work son. You’re doing a great job!
Glorianna is still a challenge sometimes. She is still a kid in so many ways, it’s hard to believe she’s in “middle school”. She’d rather be playing outside or with her stuffed animals then doing school. She flies through her school work at break neck speed so that she can finish early. But more often than she’d like, I have to slow her down and make her redo things because she’s sloppy or incomplete. She’s smart. She understands more than she gives herself credit for. It’s just a challenge to get her to apply that to her school work. She is a lot like Zion was at that age. But he is now my most hardworking kid when it comes to school, so I know that Glorianna will get there too. I just have to keep at it. She finished the school year with A’s and B’s, so I’m happy about that.
Overall it’s been a good school year. There’s a homeschool book sale coming up in June. I’m planning on selling this year instead of just buying, so I’m hoping to make more than I spend. Which will be very helpful towards next year’s purchases.
And that about wraps it up. Happy Home Schooling everyone!
