Here’s a few of the projects the kids have been doing in school.
After Zion made his house with a “thatched roof” he needed to test it to see if it would keep out water. It didn’t. He tried another idea and added packed mud to the hay then tested it again. It was better but after the mud soaked up the water, it began to leak again. Its a good thing he doesn’t have to live in this style of house today. He’d get wet.
These weren’t really school projects, but the kids decided they wanted to make sock puppets, so after school one day, they spent the afternoon doing just that.
Azariah’s pouch and powder horn he made for a study the Revolutionary War.
Zion is reading “The Little Prince” right now and one of his projects was to pick a planet out of the book, that the little prince visits, and make it out of clay.
Zion had to create a Grammar Quiz for one of his assignments. Here’s the link. See if you know all of the answers. It may surprise you. Click on start to begin the quiz.

We also studied Medieval Times. The boys had to memorize monologues and present them in 2 days. They did a great job on quick memorization!!
