Revelation

Wow….all I can say is wow.

With all of this “pale horse rider” stuff that’s been going around the news lately, Zion (being the incredibly curious kid that he is) wanted to know what that was all about. I tried to explain it to him as best as I could but he didn’t seem to be satisfied with that answer. So last night I told Trevor what we had discussed, in hopes that Trevor could explain it to him a bit better.

Thus began an hour long Bible discussion.

Trevor started with explaining the “symbols” that John saw on the island which he then wrote in Revelation. He then took Zion to Revelation 10:7 and Malachi 4:5,6 and then had Zion count all of the “Messengers” to the church ages, in Revelation. A light bulb went off in Zion’s head. I could see it. He figured out exactly what each of those scriptures meant without much help from us. He figured out exactly who those scriptures were referring to and then when Trevor told him what Bro Branham had said about each of the “riders” in Revelation, Zion completely understood what was going on. This continued on with Zion asking what “turning the hearts of the children” meant. He picked up on almost everything pretty easy but that one still puzzled him. So Trevor broke it down a bit and said it was like the Devil was driving a car full of people and taking all the wrong turns. Then God sent a Prophet to tell the children that they were going the wrong way and had to “turn them around”. That did it. He got it. He was so fascinated by the whole thing. It was an awesome thing to watch his eyes light up as the understanding hit. By this time it was starting to get quite late and we told him it was time for bed. He started reading thru some of Revelation after he got to bed and then wanted us to explain what “souls under the alter” meant. Needless to say, I knew this was going to get into another long discussion and so Trevor explained it as quickly as he could before finally telling Zion he really needed to just go to sleep. I told him he could read thru the Seals book and the Church Age book on his own if he wanted. I said, “That will answer all of your questions.” He was pretty excited about that and finally agreed to go to bed.

Wow….

He’s 9. He’ll be 10 in June. I do believe he has already had more Revelation then I did at that age. I didn’t understand a lot of the book of Revelation until I was an adult. I’m very thankful to the Lord for my wonderful husband who is grounded in the Word and in this Message. I’m not very good at explaining things at all. Even things that don’t involve the Bible or Message. So having a husband is who good at it is truly a blessing!
