Painting….again

This past weekend, since Trevor had some time off, we went decided to paint our bedroom. It’s been long overdo and after 13 years of the “dusty rose” pink color, I was very much ready for a change.

I forgot to take a room shot of the before but here’s a few pics that might give you a general idea of the wall color.

We went went with Shirwan Williams “Reflection” on the whole room and then trimmed in “Snowbound”. Trevor said it looked like a hospital room because the gray was much lighter than we thought. It was almost while looking. So we had to have an accent wall. I wasn’t sure what color to go with but the “In the Navy” was the color that went with the “Refection” on the samples. We thought about it for a bit and just went with it. I was afraid it was going to be way to dark. I painted our black letter “E” to white and changed out the frames to a silver/gray and it actually turned out really good. We are hoping to get some lighter colored lamps but the bedding is already light enough so we are happy with the finished product.

We had painted Glorianna’s room a few months back (did I mention that?? I can’t remember) and now our room is done. Here room had been the same for the last 13 years. She was really sick of pale green and light purple. It’s now a light bluish gray. And trimmed in white. Its looks so much better now.

Next up is the boys’ room but that will probably be a summer project.
