This past weekend, Trevor and I were able to take a much needed vacation without the kids. It’s been almost 4 years since we were able to get away. It was really nice. We rented a cabin in the mountains of Wears Valley (near Gatlinburg). Here’s a few pics of the weekend.
This is what I did all weekend. I didn’t go to the scrapbook retreat this year (the first time in 5 years) so I really enjoyed being able to get some scrapbooking in.
Trevor worked on his Sunday School/Homeschool curriculum he’s been wanting to do for a while.

We facetimed the kids one afternoon. They really missed us. Can you tell? =) It was nice to say hi and see how they were doing.

Finished our 2013 family vacation album!! WOO HOO!!! I also started on the kids album from 2008…yes, I’m that far behind. Pathetic.
We went out to eat once, did a little shopping, and visited the local welcome center, but for the most part we just hung out at the cabin. It was so relaxing and quiet. I can’t wait to do it again!! Maybe next time we can get a bigger cabin and take the kids.
