Veggies from our garden! Thankfully our garden has done very well this year and we’ve really enjoyed the fresh veggies at supper time.
Quick update on homemade healthy goodies I’ve been making.
Sourdough Cinnamon Rolls. These were oh so good. Made with very little all natural sugar. Frosting was made with heavy whipping cream and maple syrup.
I made my own enchilada sauce the other day and it was fantastic. I used corn tortillas instead of flour and the kids said they were much better. These were a very big hit. I know that corn tortillas aren’t really healthier than flour, but I haven’t mastered making my own yet, so these will do for now.
Keifer/Fruit Pops. These are a mix of plain keifer, blueberries, banana, strawberry, and pineapple. All mixed together in a blender, then frozen. They make great little snacks when the kids (and adults) get a sweet craving. These are super easy to make and you can use whatever combo of fruit you want and whatever flavor of keifer you want.
And onward we go.
