Let the Christmas Festivities Begin…

To start off our Christmas Festivities for the month of December, we went to IUS to watch the Christmas Pops Concert. Zion got to play cello in the orchastra. So fun. For anyone who follows me on Instagram, some of the videos are posted there. Still can’t figure out how to get videos onto the blog.

Last weekend we took a family day and went to Nashville to visit the Opryland Hotel and ICE display. It was only 9* in the room where the ice display was but it was still really awesome to see. It was Rudoplh the Red Nose Reindeer themed and the details on the scupltures were amazing. They made you were these huge blue parkas to tour the display, so its a bit awkward to move around, but it sure keeps you warm.

This ice arch was really neat and super cold to the touch.

The last part of the display had this amazing ice Nativity. It was beautiful.

We left the ICE display and walked around the Opryland Hotel for a bit, looking at the Christmas decorations they had up there.

Next up was lunch. We really wanted to eat at either the Rainforst Cafe or the Aquarium Resturant in the mall, but both of those places had either an hour and a half or a two hour wait. We didn’t really have time to wait on that because we had something else set up at 4 that we had to be at. So we ended up just eating at Mission BBQ. They had no waiting and the food was good, so it worked out fine.

Our next and final stop….An Escape Room. This one was a lot of fun. We broke our record and escaped with 20 minutes to spare. We found out afterwards that the host acutally made one of the hard puzzles even harder when she saw how fast we were moving through the first half. haha. Higly recommend this one tho if you are ever at the Opryland Mall.

It was a very fun trip and I’d love to go again. But next time we will make reservations ahead of time for the resturants.

Part two coming up….Be sure to come back Demitry (Grin)
