June and July have been very busy months. In June, Zion turned 21. He is still enjoying his job (and working from home) and he is loving the fact that he’s officially done with collage. He has recently decided to add guitar playing to his list of instruments he wants to play. So he bought himself one and has been playing around with that. He also picks up Trevor saxophone every now and then to see if he can master that one as well. He had a few friends over one day for an unofficial party. We ordered Chinese food and they just hung out and played games. Then they went to an escape room.
The beginning of July, the kids and Trevor, as well as about 25 other kids from church, all headed up to Believers Youth Camp in Fortville, IN.
I went up one day for a visit and got to watch some of the skit practices. Trevor and Glorianna actually wrote the one that our kids were in. It was about a young man going from group to group looking for freedom. Every group he joined was bound and didn’t know it. The cops were the ones who knew how to find true freedom and kept trying to lead the young man in the right direction. He finally finds what true freedom is at the end. It was a lot of fun!
The kids had a really good time.
Trevor also had a birthday in July. He turned 43. We had a nice supper at home and spent the evening playing games. He didn’t really want to do anything fancy.
A couple of day after his birthday, he had surgery on his neck. He had a herniated disk in his neck about a year and a half ago, and it caused him a lot of pain, but the Lord headed him of that. It just caused some other issues that never healed properly, so the doctor had to go in and add a wedge between two vertebrae. He’s recovering nicely but has to be at home for 2 weeks. He’s already getting bored and it’s only been 3 days. We are very thankful that everything went smoothly and that he’s already showing signs of improvement. We are trusting the Lord for a speedy recovery.
