January 2024

Happy New Year!!

January was an awesome month. Lots happened, but it was great.

If you’ve been following our blog for very long, you’ll notice that Trevor’s work usually sends him to a Tech Conference at the beginning of January. Most of the time Trevor goes with a coworker, but a couple of times the whole family went along, and one year it was just Zion. Well, this time around, it was just Trevor and I. It was a “kind of” vacation that I didn’t know I needed. Trevor would be spending a lot of time in classes and such, but we’d get to have the evenings together and even some lunches. I spent the week relaxing. I blogged, I scrapbooked, I walked, I read…I pretty much did whatever I wanted. It was probably more relaxing for me since I didn’t have anything I “had” to do, but we both had an enjoyable time.

(Week Recap)
We checked into the Kalahari Resort on Monday evening. Classes started for Trevor on Tuesday. Tuesday evening we got to have dinner with Bro Nathanael and Sis Charity S. who live in the Sandusky, Ohio area. We had met them before, but didn’t know them very well. Bro Nathanael pastors a church in that area. It was really nice to spend the evening with them and get to know them better. They are such super people.

Wednesday I got to spend the afternoon with my good friend, Kimmy B. Her and Bro Samuel live about 40 minutes from the Kalahari. Kimmy picked me up for lunch and we spend the afternoon hanging out and having a wonderful time. We didn’t want it to end, but we both had to get back to our “responsibilities”. That evening we went to Bro Nathanael’s church for service.

Thursday night we went to Bro Samuel’s church for service.

Friday was our last day at the Kalahari. Trevor had a few more classes but because we had to be out of our room by 11, I just spent some time reading in the lounge area while he finished up classes. We left the Kalahari around 3 and headed to a hotel closer to Bro Samuel’s church, which is where we would be spending the weekend. Supper with Bro Samuel and Sis Kimmy on Friday night was awesome. We had a great time.

Saturday we met up with Bro Samuel and Sis Kimmy again, this time for lunch and coffee. Zion and Azariah had driven up the night before, so they were planning to spend Saturday with their good friends, Ben and Paul.

That evening was a singing and testimony service. It was really good and the time just flew by.

Sunday morning after breakfast we headed to church. Trevor preached a wonderful service.

The adults went one direction for lunch and the kids went another. Then we met back up for service that evening where Trevor preached another wonderful message.

The “All Man Band”. Wonderful friends and wonderful musicians. They love it when they can all play together.

We made it back home really late Sunday night, but it was such an amazing time and lots of memories were made.

A couple of weeks later, Camille came down for the weekend and we all went to a “Candlelight Quartet”. I had never been to one of these before and it was so cool.

Zion and Camille baking together. Awe. Aren’t they cute?

The last week of January, Trevor flew out to Arizona to spend some time with his Dad, who snowbirds out there in the winter. His brother, Tristan and his sister, Chantelle, met him out there and they got to have some good family time. It had been a long time since he’d seen his family, so we were both very happy he was able to do this.

He also did some preaching for Bro Isreal P. and Bro Dan E. while he was there. He got to preach at the same Indian Reservation that Bro Branham preached at AND a small church in Mesa, AZ that Bro Branham preached at. How cool is that???

Meanwhile at our house….

And there you have it. Another busy but amazing month. Looking forward to whatever the Lord has in store for us for the rest of the year.
