Homeschool Christmas Program

The Christmas Program this year was themed “Worship around the World”.  Each family chose what they wanted to do for the program and we also had a few group songs.  Everyone did an awesome job!!  The kids worked hard and it payed off.  I’m so proud of everyone!

“Simeon”, “Zacharias”, and “Anna”

Our homeschool choir

These kids recited the entire Genealogy of Jesus Christ, plus the entire 2nd chapter of Matthew.  Very impressive!!

Little Amelia sang a song that she wrote.  Very well done.

Our “Danish” singers.  They recited a scripture and then sang a song in Danish.

Our “Dutch” singers sang a song in the Dutch language.

Our “Italian” singers recited Psalm 100 and sang a song in Italian.

“Mary” praises the Lord for choosing her to carry His Son.  (I made her costume.  I’m not really sure Mary wore pink, but I was out of time and had to make do with what I had on hand.)

“Zacharias” writes “His name shall be John” on his slate, as the family is trying to decide what to call his newborn son.

His voice returns and he praises the Lord.  Then he begins to prophesy about John and the work he will do to prepare the way for the coming of Jesus.

Simeon visits Mary and Baby Jesus, in the temple.  “Lord, now lettest thou, thy servant depart in piece.  For mine eyes have seen thy salvation…..”

He then tells Mary “And lo, a sword shall pierce thru thine own soul also….”

“….and then way over in a corner is an old blind prophetess.  Her name was Anna.  She couldn’t see.  84 years old…she fasted and prayed all the time…” Trevor read a quote about Anna taken from the Message “Simeon and Anna”.  Glorianna acted out what he was saying and did an excellent job.

Anna has no speaking part that we could fine anywhere in the Bible or Message.  So after Brother Branham says, “…the Holy Ghost came on her.  She raised up her hands and begins to prophesy.”  We had Glorianna say “Thank you Lord for sending our Saviour.  The Redemption of Isreal.”

All the kids return to take a bow.  They did very well.  I’m so proud!

Towards the end of our program, we had a special apperance by the YF Choir.  This was a special treat for all of us.  Expecially those of us who never get to hear the Choir.  They did and awesome job!!!

Some of the homeschool kids played instraments, some sang songs and some did Bible recitations or skits.  They all did great!!  We seem to have a lot of talent in our little group.  I think this has been the best program so far!  It was truly a blessing to be able to be a part of it as well as enjoy the talents of our children.
