Happy Birthday Zion!!

10 years ago, today, I became a mommy for the very first time. Zion Malachi was born 4 weeks early and weighed in at 6 lbs. 3 oz. Not bad for being a month early. He was very alert and captured the hearts of all the nurses. Becoming a mommy was a life changeing experience, but I wouldn’t change if for the world. Zion is a very intellegant, but sometime stubborn, child. He’s very tender hearted and loves everyone around him. He makes friends very eaisly and loves to play Wii and Legos. He also loves science and reading. He recently read thru the Apologia Astromony Book from cover to cover, just because it was interesting.

Since we just got back into town, (yes my blog posts are all a bit late. Sorry!!) we didn’t plan on doing anything for Zion’s birthday. Trevor is still on vacation, tho, so we let Zion have 1 friend over today and he opened the presents we got him. That was followed by shouts of “wow!! Awesome!! yeah!!”

(those presents I bought a while back at the yardsale?? well those were a big hit! He loves them)

Trevor bought him a watch, which Zion has been wanting for a while, so i’d say he had a very nice birthday. He has been spending the day playing Wii, swimming, eating cake and hanging out with his good buddy Christian.

I also made him waffles for breakfast, via his request.
