Florida Trip/Preaching Vacation

As you probably have noticed, at least those of you who follow our blog regularly, most (if not all) of our family vacations usually revolve around Trevor’s preaching schedule. This was another one of those said vacations. We were headed to FL for a two week trip.

We left of Friday (June 19) and broke up the first part of the trip into two days, making our first stop in Atlanta, GA. Saturday morning, we got up and went to see Stone Mountain. I hate to admit that prior to this trip I didn’t even know this mountain existed. It’s kind of like the Mount Rushmore of the south, only not nearly as big or detailed. But still really cool.

After leaving Stone Mountain, we headed over to “The Center of Pupperty Arts” to see “Click Clack Moo, Cows That Type”. It’s one of my favorite kids books and seeing it as a puppet show was awesome. They don’t allow you to take pictures of the show, tho.

After the show, we had a picnic lunch while Trevor fixed our leaky cooler. This stuff is better than duck tape!! haha

Following our lunch we headed to our next destination. Sarasota, FL. Trevor was going to preach for Bro Danny S. on Sunday morning and night. Both were really good services.

Here’s some of the things we did on our trip.

Trevor with Bro Carl H. He’s a pastor in Tampa that Trevor preached for on Wednesday night. Service number 3 for us. It was also really good.

Thursday morning we did a little more sight seeing and then headed to Okachobee where Trevor preached for Bro Willy S. then we headed to West Palm Beach where we would spend the next few days. Trevor preached for Bro Jack D. on Saturday night and Sunday morning. Then on Sunday afternoon Trevor preached at a Haitian Church in Bointian Beach, FL. This makes 7 services so far. All have been really good and very helpful to the Believers there.

After one of the services, (I don’t remember which one) we ate at Chili’s, and there was a girl walking around making balloon animals. Glorianna got a penguin, Azariah got a turtle and Zion got an alligator.

Monday morning we left Florida and headed to our final destination in Beauford, SC

Tuesday (June 30) was Zion’s 14th birthday. We wanted to do something special for him since he had to spend his birthday traveling. So after breakfast we took the kids to one of the nearby islands so they could see the beach. This was the only thing that Glorianna “really, really, really” wanted to do.

Trevor wanted to bury Zion in the sand but he said no…Glorianna on the other hand gladly volunteered.

After the beach we had some lunch and then took the kids to Aerial Adventures. I just took pictures. I’m much happier on the ground. But the kids all had a blast. Trevor even enjoyed it.

Thursday morning (July 2) we packed up and headed for home. 8 services at 6 different churches in 2 weeks. What a busy trip. But it was fun. As always, tho, there’s no place like home.
