Thursday morning we packed up and headed out on the road again. We were heading to Okeechobee where Trevor was to preach for Bro. Smiley. Trevor preached on “How Does the Seven Seals Apply to Our Everyday Life?” He used a power point slide show to go with this one and it turned our really well.
After service we got back into the van and drove to West Palm Beach, which was a couple hours away. We got in late, but it wasn’t bad. Bro. Jack wanted Trevor to preach for him for his Friday night service so we just headed to his house after the service at Bro. Smiley’s.
Friday, we took the kids to play mini golf and let them go swimming in Bro. Jack’s heated pool. The kids had been looking forward to swimming all week. It was too cool, in my opinion, but because the pool was heated, I was ok with it. We spent the rest of the afternoon fellowshipping before the service that night. Trevor did the “Seals Talk” there as well.
Saturday morning we packed up once again and headed out for our final destination…Sarasota.
We stayed at a hotel in the Sarasota area. The pastor there, Bro. Danny S. had invited Trevor to preach for him on Sunday. We met up with a family on Saturday afternoon, that we had been in touch with via penpaling. They have 9 kids ranging from ages 6 – 17, so needless to say, our kids had a blast making new friends. We went to a nearby area that had a huge lights display and a hayride. Then we went back to the family’s house for a bonfire and pizza.
Sunday morning Trevor preached “Will Thou Be Made Whole?” It was probably the best service we have had. The response was huge. It was truely a blessing.
We went to a family from the church’s house for lunch and fellowshipping in between services. Sunday night, Trevor did the Seals Talk once again.
This totaled 8 services, A singing service and a Christmas play. Not to mention the numerous friends we met and remet along the way. The fellowship was wonderful. We were treated like kings where ever we went. The fellowship of other Believers is oh so sweet.
Monday morning we woke up early and headed out. It is now Christmas Eve and day 12 of our trip. We were planning on just driving straight through this day because we didn’t want to be driving home on Christmas Day.
The drive home was good. The kids did really well. They are used to taking long trips and have learning to entertain themselves in the car. We arrived home at about 11:30 pm.
It was an awesome trip. It’s good to be home, but it was fun to be away.
