Friday, January 8 we left home after Riah finished his Prosser class and headed to West Palm Beach, FL. We drove about 10 hours and then got a hotel for the night.
Beautiful drive through the mountains.
Saturday, January 9 – After breakfast we left the hotel and finished up the drive to West Palm Beach. We checked into our place of abode for the weekend and then rested up a bit. There was service that night and Zion preached. He spoke on rest and he did a fantastic job.
Sunday, January 10 – Service at 10:30. Trevor preached on “Meet God”. Another wonderful service. Sunday afternoon we had lunch with Bro Jack and family.
Since there was only one service, Bro Jack and Sis Erika took us to a nice little place downtown to get some ice cream later that afternoon. Then we walked around looking at some of the sites. Then said our good byes.
Monday, January 11- After breakfast we checked out of the house we were staying at and headed the two hours to Disney! The kids were so excited. Glorianna insisted on singing Disney songs the whole drive. haha. But it was fun.
Lots of food from around the world. That was pretty cool. We tried a few different things but not from every place. Way too expensive.
We tried fish and chips from England. Trevor has actually been to England and had their fish and chips. He said Epcot got it really close.
The overall favorite foods we tried were: the brie cheese in a bread bowl from France, the truffle croissant from France and the lava cake from France.
The orange cake from Morocco which was Glorianna’s favorite.
We road a few “chill” rides. I sat out on two of the more “epic” rides. I didn’t mind tho. It gave me a chance to rest my feet. Epcot was not too bad as far as crowds go. Wait times for rides were 40 mins or less, which actually went pretty quick because you were moving and rarely standing still. It was just like a slow walk through the line to the ride.
Trevor and Glorianna tried a bratwurst from Germany, complete with sauerkraut. They said it was really good. I forgot to get a picture of that tho.
This tree in one of the shops was covered in pickle ornaments. It was pretty funny looking.
These birds were everywhere. They walked around hoping you would give them food. But they didn’t bother you as long as you ignored them.
A short character parade. They didn’t let you interact with the characters and the parades were a lot shorter than normal. But it was still fun to see a few of them.
This ride was a lot of fun, but way too short.
Of course Trevor had to get some lefse from the shop in the Scandinavian area. He said was not as good as his moms but it was still good.
This ride was fun. Not a favorite but it was fun.
The Nemo ride was a lot of fun and it let you out into a small aquarium. That was pretty cool.
Everyone else’s favorite ride was Soarin’. I didn’t ride that one because I was afraid of getting motion sick.
This was Test Track. They designed a self driving car and got to ride in it.
It was dark when we left Epcot and the ball was all lit up. It was so pretty.
It was a very fun day. We can’t wait to see what the other parks are like.
