Florida/Disney Trip – Part 4 – Animal Kingdom

Thursday, January 14 – Animal Kingdom

What an awesome park. We really enjoyed this one and road some amazing rides.

There was a really cool Chirstmas Tree at the entrance of the park.

The “tree of life” is really cool. It’s in the middle of the park and it has all kinds of animals carved into the trunk.

The Mount Everest Coaster was pretty intense. I didn’t ride it but everyone else did. Azariah and Glorianna thought it was way too intense but Trevor and Zion loved it.

The Flight of Passage ride was also a favorite. And the area around the ride has some pretty amazing scenery.

We all enjoyed a drive through animal safari. We got to see lots of animals and learn about their habitat. Some of the pictures are hard to see. But the ride was bumpy and hard to take pictures from a moving safari vehicle.

This tree stays leafless for the majority of the year. Weird.

The place is just beautiful. Really just loved strolling along at a slower pace and enjoying the scenery. Saw a lot of cool animals all around the park.

There were some different boats out on the water with different characters in them. This one was just some “native singers”.

Goofy and the Chipmucks dressed as dinosaurs. I think they were advertising the Dino area of the park.

We were told we needed to try the BBQ mac and cheese at Animal Kingdom, so we bought one to share. It came with onion rings and pulled pork on the top. It was pretty tasty.

After leaving the park, we went to a cute little restaurant called Mrs. Potato. It was really good. Glorianna and I split a giant fried potato stuffed with chicken, bacon and ranch. Azariah got this monster burger. Trevor and Zion got a stuffed empananda with sausage, peppers and some other stuff in it. I can’t remember exactly. And dessert was a deep fried banana with cheesecake icecream. It was all good.

It was a very fun day. Two more days left to go!!
