Florida/Disney Trip Part 3 – Magic Kingdom

Wednesday, January 13 – Magic Kingdom

Ok. This is going to sound weird but this wasn’t our favorite park. It’s not one we’d visit again. Not sure what all the hype is about this one but maybe it’s because we are all too old. I don’t know. All I know is that we were a little disappointed in this park.



Once again, no character interaction, so we got to see some princesses on the ledge of the castle.

The Winnie the Pooh ride was one of the favorite rides. Its is also my childhood…so this was fun memories. And yes, I sang along with the songs.

The Little Mermaid ride was kind of cool.

The Rapunzel area was a bit disappointing. It was basically just one building and you could barely see the tower because it was way up high on a hill you didn’t have access too. But as I said…I think this park is really more for smaller children and its also the oldest Disney park, so it was just not what we expected.

The Swiss Family Robinson Tree House was pretty cool. No ride. Just a walk through of the tree house from the movie. It was really neat to see. This was Azariah’s favorite movie as a kid so it brought back a lot of memories for him.

We had to get a Mickey pretzel because…well….why not??

Near the Pirates of the Caribbean Ride, Jack Sparrow was on a nearby stage walking around. Trevor and Glorianna got a “selfie” with him.

I don’t like water rides or rides with big drops…so I didn’t get on Splash Mountain. Instead I waited near the big drop hoping to get a picture of Trevor and the kids coming down, but the ride got stuck inside the cave area and they had to sit inside for a bit. By the time it was going again, I missed the drop. But Trevor took a picture of the picture that the ride took.

I also don’t like roller coasters…so I sat out on this one too. Can you spot them??

A Princess Parade!

We got through the whole park by 3:30 and then just went back to the hotel to rest up because we had service that night at Bro Carl H church. Trevor preached for him. He preached on “Press the Mark”. It was a nice service and it was good to see the saints there again.

It was a little late by the time we got back to our hotel, and we were all tired, but it was a good day.
