Disney Part 2 – Hollywood Studios/Galaxies Edge

Tuesday, January 12 – Hollywood Studios

Galaxy’s Edge was the main reason we went to this park. Being Star Wars fans, the kids really wanted to do the lightsaber experience and the droid building experience. I must say, I was really impressed. The detail that Disney went into to make this section of the park was incredible. I felt like I was on a movie set.

The Millennium Falcon ride and Rise of the Resistance ride were super fun. I did not expect to like either one of them but I did. In fact I would ride them again, I liked them so much. Even waiting in line was cool because it looked like you were inside one of the loading docks or on a platform from one of the movies.

Everyone stand on your dot!

The animatronics were amazing. Very life like.

The boys wanted to try the “blue milk” and “green milk” drinks from the star wars movies. Both were good. Kind of fruity and tropical flavored.

There was no character interaction at this park either, but they did have some of the characters up on some of the docks/bridges/stages so you can see them and talk to them that way.

Glorianna made a droid. Named him J0-3Y (Joey). He has a remote and can move around and make different beeps.

The boys made lightsabers. Glorianna and Riah bought each other Asoka’s lightsabers from the gift shop to share. This was their present to each other. After dark we took some pictures of them with their lightsabers so you could see them all lit up.

We also visited Toy Story Land and road a couple of rides there.

I don’t ride roller coasters. So I sat this one out but got to take a picture of the rest of the crew. Can you spot them?

Toured the rest of Hollywood Studios. Watched Muppet Vision 3D. That was funny and entertaining.

Rode a few smaller lighter rides there as well.

Saw a couple short character parades at this park as well.

It was a really long day and our feet and legs hurt but it was a lot of fun.
