Crazy Winter Weather and Christmas Eve

As I’m sure a lot of you delt with the same thing, we had some crazy weather move in Christmas weekend. Single digits, below zero and awful winds. With the windchill being well below zero, we stayed home as much as we could.

So while the wind was howling and the snow was falling, we all snuggled up under blankets, turned on our fake fireplace, and watched A Muppets Christmas Carol.

We only ended up with about 3 inches but it was so cold and the rain prior to the snowstorm washed away the salt on the roads, so driving was not fun.

Thankfully things weren’t so bad that we couldn’t keep our Christmas Eve plans.(having an SUV with 4 wheel drive, and a husband who knows how to drive in snow, also helps) We headed over to my parents house for a fish fry and just hanging out. That was really nice.

That night we let everyone (and Ava) open their stockings.

It was a nice family day and we are very thankful for a warm, dry house. I trust everyone survived the storm and were able to still enjoy their family time.
