Christmas Eve we went to church in the morning. Glorianna sang a solo part with the Sunday school class. She was nervous but did very well. All of the kids sounded great. We went over to my parents for lunch and then justcsnjoyed the evening at home playing games. We let the kids open their stocking that night.
Christmas Day at our house. Trevor started a new tradition this year. We put a scripture verse on each present that vaguely had something to do with the gift. So before they could open their gift the kids had to look up the verse, read it and try to guess what the present was. Trevor and I even had some on our gifts.
We got Azariah a drum set. Hes been wanting one for a long time and we kept pushing it off. Trevor finally decided it was time to get him one. Thankfully its electric and comes with headphones. We are renting this for a few months to make sure he likes it before we actually buy it. So we’ll see how it goes.
Zion just wanted money this year. So instead of giving him cash, we just decided to help him pay off his cello that he’s been renting.
Glorianna got a tea set. She was excited.
My new pillow covers! I love them.
We got Trevor a travel french press coffee pot he had been wanting. He was super excited about this.
Azariah made this storage box in Creations and decided to give it to me for Christmas.
And we got all 3 of the kids chick-fil-a cards.
We also got Trevor a new bag to replace his backpack with is falling apart. I thought he could use it for preaching and for work. But sadly it doesn’t hold everything he wants it to hold. So we will have to take it back and probably just get him a new backpack.
We had some shrimp, lobster, steak, fancy cheeses and crackers for our Christmas meal. It was very yummy. We played some games, watched a Christmas movie and just enjoyed spending the day together. It was a very good Christmas day.
We are on break until Jan. 3rd, so well be spending the week doing a lot more family stuff. And baking some pies. And of course Trevor will be sticking with his lefsa making tradition. Its going to be a nice vacation.
