Christmas Day Two

Christmas Eve, we decided, would be our official Christmas Day.  We began with breakfast and a bit of relaxing.  Then we listened to the Christmas Story and took turns praying.  We have started a new tradition….we each pick a card that we have received for Christmas, and pray for that person and their family.  This will go on, each person picking a different card each day, until all of the cards have been covered.

Then began the present unwrapping.

We couldn’t wrap Glorianna’s “big” present, so we just covered it with a couple of blankets.  She was quite happy to get her new bike.  The basket on the front and the horn were added from the money she received for Grampa Lloyd and Gramma Sherry. (See previous post for details).

I bought Glorianna the Potato Heads, (Mr and Mrs).  She has been begging for these every since Toy Story 3 came out.  I happened to find them on sale for 75% off, so I went ahead and got them.  She was very happy and wanted to play with them right away.  Even before opening any more presents. She wanted to sleep with them that night, but I drew the line there.  So they spend the night on her dresser.

We made the boys open their “big presents” together, because they received the same thing.

Star Wars two sided light sabors.  Zion was so happy he was practally jumping up and down.  Once again, we have scored big points.  =)

We have been getting the boys “Chester History Comix” books every Christmas and Birthdays.  They love them.  These are the greatest books ever.  The boys learn so much from reading them and because they are written comic book style, they read them over and over again.

The boys got “Lego Creationary” to share.  This is a game they have been wanting for a while.  We found it on sale and grabbed it up back in early November.

My Christmas Village.  I’ve been wanting one of these for a long time, but they are always so expensive.  I found this one, still in its box, at a yardsale for next to nothing.  I was very happy!!

We found a small black pony for Glorianna.  She loved it.  She’s all about babies and stuffed animals.  Expecially small animals.  She loves to tote them around with her everywhere she goes.

Still playing with the Potato Heads.

The boys are into “Webkinz” right now, and their accounts had expired.  So we got them each a new “Webkinz” animal, which I wrapped in cereal boxes.  It was quite funny to see them open their presents only to find cereal boxes inside.

The rest of the day was spend enjoying the new toys.  Later that evening, we headed over to a cousins house to enjoy fellowship and food.  It was a small family only, gathering, and we had an awesome time.

So far, this has been a great Christmas weekend!
