Glorianna’s and Azariah’s birthdays are so close together that sometimes its just easier to combine their parties. Last year we threw a big ole birthday bash at the park and combined it with a potluck for anyone who wanted to come. It was so much fun and such a big success that we decided to do it again. The first Saturday in May was our only free Saturday, and even tho it was a little early for the kids birthdays, we decided to go with it anyway. The kids had a lot of fun and the weather was perfect. I’ll probably still do something a little special for each of them on their actual birthday, but as for parties…this was it.

Glorianna and her friend Hannah C. These two girls are known as “The Hannahs”. =) It made things much easier for me once Glorianna learned their last names. Then I at least knew which one she was talking about.
For Glorianna’s cake we just bought a giant cookie from SAM’s club and added some “My Little Ponies”. Easy!! She wasn’t all that picky about what she wanted. Just something girly. I made her fruit wands which she was really happy about, and she made wands for her friends out of wooden food sticks and paper cut out stars, but for the most part she just wanted a party with her friends.

Azariah was a little more picky than his sister. He wanted a “Minecraft” themed party. For those of you who aren’t familiar with Minecraft….its a computer game that seems to be pretty popular right now. Everything is made of squares. I still don’t know what the point of the game is, other than to build stuff….but anyway….thankfully you can do a Minecraft themed party really cheap and easy. All you need are squareish shaped food. Azariah made labels to go with the food. Minecraft players will understand the labels. The rest of us will ignore the labels and just eat the food. haha
