Day Four – Friday, January 3. We had breakfast at the hotel (which was amazing, by the way. Fresh fruit, freshly cooked bread that you could slice yourself, yogurt, granola, sausage, bacon and all the pastries and croissants you could eat. They even had a lady making eggs if you wanted some), then we headed to service. Trevor preached this morning on “The Wilderness Journey”. There was a really good response from the youth.
The group picture from camp. There was a lot of youth, as you can see.
Someone captured Trevor taking a selfie. haha
Friday night Bro John spoke on “Turing a Corner into Adoption”. There were several youth that went to the alter and also went up for prayer. The song service was awesome. The most amazing part is that the musicians all went to different churches so they don’t regularly play together, but it all sounded amazing and they all did so well. There was a real outpouring of the Spirit and I know hearts were touched.
Some of the youth singing specials. This group is from Italy.
Day Five – Saturday, January 4th. Trevor preached on “Be Strong.” It was a really good service and a real encouragement to the youth.
There was some youth activities after lunch and then we rested at the hotel until the evening service.
Enjoying some of the scenery between services. Neuwpoort is on a bay, so even tho it’s absolutely beautiful, it’s very windy which makes the cold even colder. And it was also very cloudy so without the sun helping to warm things up, it was even colder.
Trevor preached again that evening. This would be his last service. He preached on “Be Very Courageous”. It was a really good service on healing. Then there was a prayer line afterwards and over half of the youth came up for prayer. I pray that they all received what they asked for. We have already heard a lot of positive testimonies and are looking forward to hearing more.
Day 6 – Sunday – Bro John preached the last service of the convention. He preached on “Esteeming His Approach in Your Adoption”. It was one of the best I’ve ever heard from him. It was very good and a great ending sermon.
After lunch the campers all had to leave and Trevor and I went back to our room to rest. The meetings were over and we were now going to take a few days of vacation before flying back home. One of the best burgers I’ve ever had in my life was at the hotel that evening. Oh my word. There’s just something about the quality of food in Europe that puts America to shame.
A few more photos from the weekend.
Bro John, Trevor and Bro Joshua
This golden turtle was kinda cool so we just decided to take a selfie with it. It used to be in the center of town but the Belgium’s didn’t like it or the artist so it got moved to a less central spot. haha.
Trevor and I have known Bro Simeon and Sis Leah for about 20 years. We’ve been online friends that entire time but had never met them in person until this weekend. It was so good to finally get to officially meet them. We had some good fellowship with them at the camp.
The elevators in Europe are really small. We were all pretty close in here. haha
This young man liked Trevor’s tie and ended up tying his tie just like it.
Trevor with some of the youth. (and a belgium waffle haha)
