Azariah’s Birthday Party

Today we celebrated the birth of Azariah with a Knight Themed Party. Some of the kids came dressed in their Royal Knight Clothing, and some just came as they were. Either way, they all had a blast.

We had to lock Zion up for awhile…he just wouldn’t behave.

This game was a lot of fun. Each “Knight” chose a “Horse” and had to race across the yard, slay the mighty (stuffed) dragon, and rescue the princess (Glorianna’s baby doll) who was locked in a tower (my laundry basket).

The whole gang after we locked up the birthday boy.

After we let Azariah out of the “stocks”, the rest of the boys took turns locking each other up. This turned out to be quite funny.

I have known for a while now that I’m not very good at decorating cakes. I keep hopeing it will happen one day, but so far it hasn’t. This being said, I tried my hand at a 3-D Castle cake for Azariah’s party. It flopped. Big time! I wont go into details, you ‘ll just have to trust me. So there I was with no cake for soon to be party. I threw together a homemade cake which turned out good, but really small. So my wonderful husband rescued me and ran to the store to get a small store bought cake to go with it.

The store bought one that I decorated with toys and cartoon cut outs. I think the dragon is pretty cute. =)

This is the cake that I made and then decorated.

Blowing out the candles…or at least trying too. The wind kept blowing them out for him. We gave up after 6-7 tries. He enjoyed it anyway.

Opening the presents. He recieved some very nice gifts. Thanks so much to everyone who came and helped make Azariah’s day a special one.
