Another School Year Begins

And we’re off!! We started school a bit later this year because of camp and the trip to Chicago.

But we have a lot planned for this year and are expecting a great year of fun and learning. Can’t you tell they are excited? hahaha

I got rid of the long tables we had been using as desks for the last few years and got 2 small tables instead. I also moved my sewing table into the school room and it now doubles as my teacher desk as well. This seems to be a much better set up.

In other news….Zion has finally gotten himself a cello. It’s been his goal for a couple of years now. He has been saving birthday and Christmas money, and now with the money he’s getting for teaching piano, he’s saved enough for a good start on a “rent to own” program. He’s using youtube videos to teach himself right now, and if that doesn’t work we’ll look into getting him a teacher later. He may end of hating it and just returning the cello. But more than likely, he’ll end up loving it and buying the cello. If he does, then his rental payments will go towards the final purchase price. So that works out in the long run.

My downstairs is starting to look like a music shop. Haha. (Excuse my ugly wall. We had started the remodeling process a few months back but had to put it on hold to pay for other things. So I’m not sure when the painting will get finished.)
