Tile Tiles

I think we’re all done with tile in this house, until such a time as we decided to completely remodel the bathroom, which is somewhere after redoing the porch rail, but perhaps before replacing all the house windows.

Anyhoo…finished the entry way. Major thanks to Amos for getting the old entry way out, and laying the concrete board, schluter, and as much tile as we had mortar for. I only had to lay about 7 of the tiles and do the grout. I’m pleased with the result.

The new improved entryway.

Today Zion took advantage of the hard surface of the tile, and decided to lay a little tile of his own. He opted for a “swirly” pattern. So, he asked for my help too…even tho I thought I was all done with layin’ tile in this house, he asks for more help. Like a good dad, I get down on the floor and help. Here’s the result.

Zion’s swirly domino tiles.

In other news, AnnaMay and I had a hankerin for some pizza last night. I was interested in trying a new little joint down the street, rather than just getting Pizza Hut or Dominos again. Boy am I ever glad we did. That place has fantastic pizza. We will definitely be a repeat customer. Great cheese.

Oh yes, if anyone is interested in learning why Zion is dressed like a cow in the above picture, today is his homeschool group Christmas play. He’s a cow, obviously, in the manger. He is reciting a bible verse, as well as a couple of poems with the group. It should be a rather cute program, and I know the mothers (and some of the fathers) have busily been preparing for this. I’m sure I would have helped, but they didn’t need a website, database, or any networking done…so after that I probably don’t have much to contribute.

Christmas cards are coming in, we’re about to send ours out. Expect a happy picture of us with Christmas greetings in the mail soon. Unless you’re reading this blog and I don’t know you…then I wouldn’t necessarily expect anything.

Well, AnnaMay is getting the van ready to go, I better log off.

Bye!
