Winter Wonderland…..well southern style anyway

January saw our first snow of the season. You never know what to expect around here. It’s been a very mild Fall and Winter so far. Even this summer was mild. So when we finally got snow the kids wanted to go skiing. We only had 2 inches but it was cold enough for the nearby ski place to “make” snow.

So Trevor got a group together and they all went skiing.

Zion decided to try out snowboarding. He said it was ok. But he enjoys skiing much better.

This was Glorianna’s first time skiing. Trevor said she did really well.

The birds don’t mind the cold. They were just singing their little hearts out.

After the second snow, a few days later, we ended up with 5 inches total. Time to go sledding, build snow forts and have snowball fights with friends.

Phibby had mixed feelings about the snow. The first day he seemed to love it. He ran around in it and batted at snowballs. By day 3-4 he was tired of it and wanted to come in the house. Now every time the door is open he tries to run inside. It seems I am always chasing that cat back outside.
