Mother’s Day and Glorianna’s Birthday

Every couple of years, Glorianna’s birthday happens to fall on Mother’s Day. This year was one of those years. So instead of having a separate party for her, we just did a family party at my mom’s house, that way we could do Mother’s Day AND a birthday party all at once. It turned out really nice. I let her pick some decorations from the Dollar Tree and she took all of her princess dresses to Grandma’s so the girls could all dress up. It turned out to be a simple but good time.

She requested a double layer strawberry cake and being the “health nut” that I am lately, I searched around online until I found the best one I could find. So here it is….My very first double layer strawberry cake with cream cheese frosting…completely from scratch. I thought it turned out awesome and it was soo good.
