April also hosted our yearly Homeschool Spring program. This year the kids were to pick a country, study it and also learn about the Belivers in that country. And we taught the kids how to say “God Bless You” in the language of their country.
Zion chose Zimbabwe and did a video presentation using the puppets. It was cool. Hopefully Trevor can get that up onto the blog. That’s not my department, so it’s totally up to him. =)
Edit: Trevor Here! You asked, I delivered! Video below!
Azariah chose Malawi.
Glorianna chose Finland. She had a headscarf from Finland that a friend of ours (from Finland) gave us. And I helped her make a cape which she wore.
Drawing a message book on the display board. Writing the title in the language of chosen country.
Close up of Glorianna’s horse drawn sled that she made.
Zion showing Bro Joseph his video at the program.
Cupcakes with flags from around the world.
I thought this display was so cool. Someone did Switzerland and made the story of Arnold Von Winkelreid out of legos.
The display on the USA was pretty cool too. It had good and bad facts that were funny but sad at that same time.
I wish I had taken pictures of all of the displays but I didn’t get around to it. There were so many awesome displays. The kids all did a fantastic job. The talents in our homeschool group never cease to amaze me.
**Edit** Ok so when I posted about our spring program, I had no idea that YF would post about it on their website the very next day. So for those of you who follow my blog and haven’t seen the post on YF yet here’s the link if you’d like to see pictures of the other booths I failed to get pictures of.
