Pennsylvania Trip

I don’t normally take much of a Fall break during school. But this year we had been invited out to PA so I gave the kids some time off of school and off we went. We arrived on a Wednesday in time to go to church that evening. We once again stayed with our good friends at the “Farm”. But it has been moved from the farm to a new location, “The Eagle’s Nest”. The new house is beautiful and quite peaceful. I wish I had taken some pictures. We had a lot of fun hanging out with our hosts, playing games, and doing some shopping.

The leaves were just starting to turn, making the drive out a sight to behold.

We took some time out from visiting, to go see that local Mennonite run replica of the “Tabernacle in the Wilderness”. We weren’t allowed to take pictures of the “Tabernacle” so these were all I was able to get.

After leaving there, we headed over to Sight and Sound where we saw “Moses”. It was good. Not my favorite but we still enjoyed it.

On Saturday, Trevor took the boys to Hershey Park. This is their first experience with Roller Coasters. We’ve never taken the kids to an amusement park because I don’t like rides at all and we just felt it was a waste of money. But Trevor really wanted to take the boys, and there was a few brothers and their sons from the church in PA going, so they made it a guys day.

Zion said he could probably be persuaded to go back. But Riah said he would never go back…ever. After watching the video, I’m sure you’ll understand why. Poor kid.

They all went out for pizza afterwards so I guess the boys forgave Trevor. 🙂

Since the boys were gone, the girls took the opportunity to go shopping. I had a blast getting good deals at the Jubilee stores and the Skirt store. Then just hanging out at the house.

On Sunday, Trevor preached for Bro David S. Two really good services that I believe were a blessing to the saints there.

It was a wonderful time. I’m sure we will be going back again, but for now it’s time to get back into the routine of schooling and other such stuff.
