Pirates!!!

Today was the grand opening of the new Pirate Exhibit at the Frazier Arms Museum, so we all headed over there this evening to check it out. Since this fell on Azariah’s birthday, as well, he was quite excited about going.

Upon arriving, each of us received our very own eye patch and a gold coin. Or at least, everyone but me…I chose not to take any. I prefer to keep both my eyes.

There was lots of hands on activities for the kids, which they thoroughly enjoyed. Glorianna wanted to color the girl pirate, while the boys checked out some pirate coins, and parts from the ship. (I didn’t get a picture of the boys, for some reason….sorry….)

All of the kids got to make their very own parrot which then attached itself to their shoulders for the rest of the evening. Glorianna’s even stayed attached when she fell asleep on the way home. I removed it and it now resides on the piano bench.

Where they keep the prisoners. I tried to get the boys to put their heads thru so i could take their pictures, but they wouldn’t do it. I guess they were afraid I would leave them there.

The Treasure!! But not the treasure the kids were looking for. When the kids reached the end of their treasure hunt, they each recieved a chocolate gold coin, which quickly disappeared.
