My birthday was on the 7th. I turned 36. I don’t normally want to do parties or really much of anything for my birthday, other than maybe go out to eat or something with the family. But for some reason this year, I just decided that I really wanted to do something different. I didn’t really want a party, just more of a fellowship get together with some friends. I mentioned this to Trevor and he started planning. I didn’t help much. He said he’d take care of it. He ended up doing a full fledged party with games and everything. It was so fun watching him plan it. I think he was more excited about it than me. =)
He also planned a “surprise” that he wasn’t going to tell me about. He invited my good friend Marie, from South Carolina, up. It worked out good that she and her husband were able to come, so Trevor was going to not tell me and just make it a surprise. I accidentally found out about it when I saw and email by mistake. Oops. But I was surprised, none the less…just not when Trevor wanted it to happen. I was really happy about the surprise. What a wonderful present.
Trevor also set up tables and chairs in one of the empty rooms at his office complex. It’s a big storage room but they let him use it for the party. It was a great place to have the party. Kids could run around and we didn’t have to worry about them breaking anything.
It was a great way to celebrate my weekend. Thanks to everyone who helped make it special.
Azariah was drawing on the white board. All of the kids loved being able to do that.
Sweet Glorianna. She loved the flowers on the tables and wanted to keep them. So I let all of the little girls at the party take home some flowers.
Opening my cards and presents.
The skirt and scarf are from Trevor.
Marie and her husband Jack. We really enjoyed getting to know him better.
Marie and Glorianna. Marie taught Glorianna how to finger knit while she was here and this is the scarf that she made.
My good friend Marie and I. I really enjoyed have her here. Thanks Marie for coming all this way to see me.
