Christmas morning we let the kids sleep in. After breakfast we listened to a sermon that Bro Luke G. had preached on “Unto Us a Child is Born”. It was fantastic. Then we let the kids open presents.
Trevor got the Lefse kit that he wanted. I see lots of Lefse being made over the next few weeks.
Can you tell she’s happy to get this movie? She’s been stuck on the stories of Daniel and Ruth lately.
We got each of the kids a lego plate. Weird as it seems, it’s actually nice that they each have their own.
Family Gift…..Drive Through History with David Stotts. The kids love this movies. Well they’re not actually movies. They are Christian based history lessons. David Stotts take you on a guided tour of different places in the world and you learn all about history in a fun and entertaining kind of way. If you’ve never seen one, you should. Go to your local library and see if they have any.
There was a computer game the boys have been wanting, so we surprised them with that for Christmas. They were quite excited. We wrote the information they needed to get to their game, on a card.
After lunch we headed over to my parents house for Christmas with the rest of the family. We had a light lunch (much better then a full blown meal that you spend days cooking) and then we opened presents. The guys played a few games while the girls just sat around and talked in the afternoon.
From the Grandparents: Zion got money (he said that’s all he wanted), Azariah got an art set and some more knights for his collection and Glorianna got a beginner sewing machine. Now I’ve got to teach her to use it. She’so excited.
Update….My dad is doing well. He had knee surgery two weeks ago. He’s recovering very nicely tho and was up walking around on his own, over Christmas.
