Christmas Week

Christmas Week was busy but fun. We arrived home from Florida on Christmas Eve night. Trevor’s dad and stepmom arrived at our house on Christmas Day night. With it being cold and us still tired from the vacation, we didn’t know exactly what we were going to do while they were here, but we were determined to show them a good time. We ended up spending a lot of time playing games and just chatting. The kids loved the fact that Gramma and Grampa would play games with them. I hope they didn’t get worn out! ha ha

So here is some of the fun things we did while they were here.

Trevor smoked a Turkey for our “belated” Christmas Supper. (This was his Christmas present from both sides of the family (mine and his) Thanks guys!) We had my parents over on Friday for supper. They had never met Sherry and hadn’t seen Lloyd in a long time, so we thought it would be nice to re introduce the two families. I made a cheesecake. It was quite delightful. We had a great evening of eating and chatting.

We woke up to our first snow of the season, on Saturday. So of course, all the kids wanted to go sledding. We took the kids to the flood wall in Jeffersonville, and they had a ball. Gramma and Grampa even joined them.

Some time during the week (I don’t remember which day it was tho) we took the to Cracker Barrel for supper and Sweet Frog for ice cream. That was a grand ole time. They don’t have either in Rapid City, so it was a treat for them. We also took them to see the Lights in Charlestown. They are set to music and the kids love going every year.

They left early Sunday Morning to fly back to Rapid City, SD.

We had a lot of fun while Lloyd and Sherry were here. We hope that we returned the fun to them as well. Come by anytime guys!
