Before I add a part two to the wedding post, here’s some random updates for the month of March.
Glorianna quit her job at Sweet Stuff Bakery. She had been there for almost 2 years and they just weren’t giving her the opportunity to grow her skills or even offer raises. The boss was hard to work for and most days Glorianna would come home stressed. So after much prayer and searching, she decided to move on. She in now an employee of Chick Fil-A. Not her dream job and not where she wants to stay forever, but so far she is loving it. She is learning a lot, the employees are much friendlier and easier to work with, there are several believers who also work there and one of the managers goes to our church. She comes home so much happier than she ever did at Sweet Stuff.

We got a new (to us) couch. My parents were changing out their furniture, so we bought this one from them. It has a recliner on each side. We’ve had it for a month now and so far it’s the favorite place to sit. We love it. Our old couch was over 15 years old and really needed to go, so this is a much needed upgrade. And it matches our other furniture really well.

Two weeks before Zion’s wedding, Trevor and I took a trip to Loraine, Ohio, where Trevor would be leading a study on the book of Revelation. This is something he’s been working on for several years and finally had the opportunity to do it. It was a lot of information crammed into 3 days, but it was a lot of fun and I hope he does it again.

And finally….we all came down with a HORRIBLE stomach bug right after the wedding. All of us. Even Zion. Thankfully Camille didn’t get it, and Zion was recovered within 24 hours, so they were still able to leave for their honeymoon as scheduled. Azariah and Glorianna bounched backed pretty quickly, and Trevor didn’t have it as bad, so he also bounced back within a couple of days. ME?? It hit me hard. I spend two days in bed, and after 3 more days, I am finally able to eat again and my strength is finally returning. That was horrible. We haven’t dealt with anything like that in ….well…. years. Many, many years. I don’t even remember when the last time was that any of us had a stomach bug. This was no joke. Several others in the area (here and where Camille’s family is from) also came down with it, but thankfully it didn’t seem to last more than a day or two with everyone.
I’m not even going to talk about how nasty these early April storms have been. Let’s just say that I miss the sunshine and I’d not miss a thunderstorm for a very long time….if ever…
