Piano Lessons

Zion started taking piano lessons about 5 years ago. He took lessons for about 2 years and then his piano teacher had to quit. We were sad to see them end, but hoped to get Zion back into lessons with another teacher. This didn’t happen as soon as we hoped. We tried doing some “teaching piano at home” dvd’s for a while. This worked some. Until Zion got bored with it. He needs to have a “live” teacher to encourage him and to work with is God given talent. Zion loves to play and has a good ear for music. He can sit down and pick out a song within minutes. He’s far from being perfect but he does really well. So we were quite happy indeed when a new teacher came along. One of the brother’s from our area married a girl from PA. She is excellent on the Piano and even taught piano when she lived in PA. We became her first students after she moved here. I wanted Glorianna and Azariah to start learing piano as well, so I signed all 3 kids up with Rachel.

We have had 3 lessons so far and all is going well. Glorianna and Azairah seem to be enjoying it and practice times can get interresting when they try to outdo the other. Zion is once again encouraged and is moving along nicely.

It was truley an answer to prayer when Rachel moved here. I know the folks in PA will miss her a lot, but we greatly appreciate having her here.

Here’s pictures of Glorianna and Azariah’s first lesson. I didn’t take any pictures of Zion because he has been playing for a while. But I wanted to have the “first lesson” pictures. And now that we have added music to our homeschooling activites…I do believe (with soccer in the spring and fall seasons) we have all of the “basics” covered. ha ha
