Springtime Fun!!

We have finally gotten some nice Spring weather. It seemed that winter was trying to hang on for a while. I was beginning to think it would never get warmer then 55*. But thankfully Spring has finally come. We’ve had nice 60-70* weather a lot over the last couple of weeks. In fact, yesterday it even reached up to the 80’s. It is supposed to be in the mid to upper 80’s all this week. Summer???

Oh well, I’m not complaining. I’m enjoying breaking out the flip flops.

I’ve been working in the flower bed the last few days. Trying to kill off some weeds that are overtaking. We still haven’t gotten our garden started yet, but hopefully we will soon. The boys are looking forward to the actual opening of the pool. If the weather stays warm, I’m sure that will be very soon.

Soccer has been keeping us crazy busy, as it usually does. Trevor decided to coach Glorianna’s team this year. It’s going well and Glorianna is thrilled to have daddy as her coach. We have an assistant who helps out and “takes over” on the days that Trevor can’t be there. So that works out really nice.

Trevor also half volenteered, half got asked, to take over coaching Zion’s team. Zion coach was going to cancel practice 2 weeks ago because she couldn’t be there. Since Zion’s practice immediatly follows Glorianna’s practice, and we were gonna be there anyway, Trevor volenteered to coach that practice. Well, after that, the coach called Trevor and just asked him if he’d want to take over the rest of the season. She didn’t really want to coach but said she would when Zion’s team had no coach. So Trevor said he would. The only time this is a problem is when the games are at the same time as Glorianna’s. So last Saturday, the assistant on Glorianna’s team, and myself, coached while Trevor coached Zion’s team. It acutally worked out really nice. So this will probably be how the rest of the season goes. On the 2 weekends that Trevor will be out of town and wont be able to coach either team, I will be helping coach Glorianna’s with the assistant, and one of the dad’s on Zion’s team said he’d help out and coach those two games. Thank goodness for helpful parents.

So as you can see, it’s been a crazy Spring. Our only free evenings right now are Friday night. I can’t wait to have free weekends again. But the kids are getting their sports , thier exercise and “socialization”. ha ha .

Here’s a few pictures of my kids enjoying the outdoors….and Kezia…she is still around and doesn’t seem to want to leave, so I guess it’s offical…we have a cat…
