Glorianna loves to play games. One of her favorites is “Uno”. I played a few rounds with her this morning, but then had to stop to go do dishes. Not wanting to quit, Glorianna comes up with her own way to play.
Bring in Floppy.
Floppy is Glorianna’s dog. Trevor bought him for her 2 Christmas’ ago and she loves him. Floppy is her best friend, sleeping pal and watch dog. He stays on her bed when she’s not dragging him around the house. He even goes with her to Gramma’s on occasion.
Back to the story…Glorianna set Floppy up in his own chair and handed him his cards. Then began the game. Back and forth she went from her side of the table to his side of the table, placing the right cards on the stack. The cutest part?? She talked for Floppy while she was playing. So not only do I hear Glorianna cute little voice discussing her cards, but I hear this cute little “boyish” voice talking back to her. HA HA !!! Floppy won both rounds of Uno. But was Glorianna upset?? Not at all. She picks him up and starts dancing around the living room with him, telling him how proud she is of him.
He is now the Uno Champion. Let me relay the conversation I observed…
Glorianna: I’m so proud of you Floppy. You are the Uno Champion. Dance with me.
(a few minutes later)
Glorianna: I’m gonna make you a cake because I am so proud of you.
Floppy: What kind of a cake?
Glorianna: An angel food cake.
Floppy: I can’t have angel food cake. I’m allergic to angel food cake.
Glorianna: Aww…well what about chocolate cake?
Floppy: yes. I can have chocolate cake. I’m not allergic to chocolate cake.
(Glorianna “makes” a cake and “bakes” it)
Glorianna: Here you go Floppy.
Floppy: oh thank you. ( and eats the cake)

The converstaion then turned into other things, but I will stop at that.
I love being a stay at home mom. I wouldn’t trade this for the world!!!
